Keras360.io Analytical Interview Questions (I -III)
Scenario I
A client wishes to export their latest diagnostic equipment to a developing country in Asia. However, they are unsure which country would be the ideal starting point. The client has approached Keras360 with a dataset containing economic charts and figures for multiple ASEAN countries. Additionally, they have mentioned that the diagnostic tool application has an age restriction, specifically for individuals aged 20 and above. Keras360 has access to annual records of the national population registries, and data were categorised into five-age groups; e.g., 0 to 4; 5 to 9.
Please describe your methodological approach to completing this task, and include Python or R-codes for analytical procedures.
Difficulty level: This task is suitable for individuals who have completed post-graduate degree.
Hint: Multiple correct answers are possible.
Scenario II
A client from a biopharmaceutical company asked for guidance from Keras360 regarding a newly acquired Quality-of-Life (QoL) measurement instrument. The client wants to validate the QoL questionnaire by comparing it to a generic QoL questionnaire that uses the same 1 to 5 likert scale. To do this, Keras360 proposes a study where the same people will complete both the new QoL instrument and the generic questionnaire. The research hypothesis assumes that there is no significant difference between the new QoL instrument and the generic questionnaire. To confirm or refute this null hypothesis, an analytical task needs to be performed.
Please describe the approach you would use for this task and provide Python or R codes for the analytical procedures.
Difficulty level: This task is suitable for individuals with at least a Bachelor’s degree.
Hint: The suggested approach involves creating a 2×2 contingency table and assuming that both questionnaires have a different number of questions.
Scenario III
A representative from an insurance company is conducting an examination to determine the effectiveness of their policy pricing. They are particularly interested in analysing their dataset on rare disease claims, but are unsure if meaningful insights can be derived from a small diagnosed patients’ sample size. They have reached out to Keras360 for assistance in finding a potential solution. Describe your analytical approach to demonstrate the likelihood of occurrence for a rare disease, and to identify the variables that may impact pricing and payouts.
Please describe your methodological approach to completing this task, and include Python or R-codes for analytical procedures.
Difficulty level: This task is suitable for individuals who have completed at least a MSc. or PhD degree.
Hint: Multiple correct answers are possible. Diseases occurring at 1 : 2,500 are considered rare diseases.
