About

I am the founder of The Waterhouse 水の家, Singapore. Our journey started as an art editorial platform called NaoRococo.net, bringing together talented individuals from various parts of the world. Over time, we expanded into innovative design and visualization technology.

Yuhui is always available for side collaborations and talks worldwide. If you want to chat about statistics, medical drugs, NLPs, Machine Learning, art acquisitions, and wine, or anything else, write to her.

I completed my undergraduate degree (Hons.) in Biomedical Science at the University of Manchester, UK, from 2005 to 2007, during which I was awarded direct-entry status as a second-year B.Sc. student. Throughout my B.Sc. program, I received a summer research scholarship from the Wellcome Trust in collaboration with the Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge, UK. Following my graduation, I relocated to London to pursue an M.Sc. in Modern Epidemiology at Imperial College London, completed in 2009 Jan. The preference of academic professors for the combination of Modern and Epidemiology remains unclear; however, it is evident that there has been a significant shift in preventative care and medicine focusing on non-communicable diseases, such as cancer, in contrast to the traditional knowledge on infectious diseases. In February 2011, I moved to Rostock, Germany to join the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research, where I collaborated with a team of mathematicians and demographers with a specialised interest in human aging rates and the lifetime risk of exposures. My doctoral thesis primarily focused on building mathematical and statistical protocol models for life-saving opportunities, medical interventions, and occupational health, including exposure to cosmic radiation and life expectancy among healthcare practitioners. A portion of my doctoral thesis has been published, as detailed in the section below.
